Is she? New single from London based electro-synth band La Roux is set to become #1 in the UK, rightly or wrongly, you can’t deny how catchy it is.

Alkaline Trio! I love these guys and I love their music. I was aware that they released the new album “Agony and Irony” about a year ago, but I never really bothered with it for whatever reason. I got hold of a copy yesterday and it’s brilliant! Still going strong lyrically, and still in possession of they’re unique upbeat melody with pesimistic-esque lyrics. Psyched!

New material coming from pop punkers The Cab in the form of a new EP “The Lady Luck EP” I’ve listened to it all the way through and I have to say, it’s good, but slightly bizzare? It contains a surreal cover of “I Want To Break Free” which I would never have imagined in a million years. It is set for release June 23rd.

Keep your eyes open for these hidden gems. New EP out soon called “From The Start” Beautiful sound, sometimes punky other times slow and emotional, either way I anticipate great things. Get onto their MySpace to hear more For your appetizer I’ve picked a track called “Head Rush” It’s on the new EP and it’s a slower, more thought provoking song, with strings and piano to match, hope you enjoy it!

I downloaded the first album from The Higher a few years ago now, and was pleasantly suprised when I caught wind of their return. I watched the music video for the first single “It’s Only Natural” off the upcoming album of the same name (set for digital release June 22nd) Now the video itself is unbelievably cringe worthy, and I can’t say it was their finest moment. However! It becomes funny aslong as you keep reminding yourself it’s in good humour. One thing is for sure though, the song is one catchy son of a bitch, and you’ll struggle to get it out of your head. Have a listen!
